ANOVA fan-art

2025-08-07

To continue my trend of drawing fan-art from niche and/or obscure games, I drew Violet (no, not that Violet) and Tink from ANOVA. A short point-and-click adventure which is “full of puzzles, pirates, robots, and more pirates!”. The art, music, and puzzles really fit together really well. You can tell a lot of care was put into it! You can play it on newgrounds here.

This is probably my first piece which I used line art for, and I like how it turned out. (Though following existing lines is easier than drawing your own). [This is] also, [my first time somewhat properly drawing] boots!, and knees!

A rusty metal ship has landed on a grass field. A small drawbridge made of worn wooden planks is lowered onto the floor. In the doorway with one hand on her hip stands Violet - a tall female pirate. She's dressed in a plain white shirt and violet corset. On her grey, mechanical, tank-track-like belt, she wears leather pouches of various sizes. Brown shorts end above the knees. From the knees, suspender straps support violet leggings, which are tucked into dark violet boots. It's clear both she, and the ship have been through better times. The bronze plates that make up the exterior of the ship have rusted, and Violet's shirt and leggings are torn in many places.

Almost the same drawing as above, but with a few additions, and coloured in. In the doorway behind Violet hovers a blue spherical robot - Tink. He has a black circle on the front for a face, lit up by two green, vertical slits which are his eyes. On his top are two lightbulbs, and on the side crevases for his arms. His arms are thin, made from a long black wire, and his wrist from the same blue metal as his shell. Three fingers on his right hand are made from short, black wire, with more blue metal at the fingertips.
